How will you fit in the big picture?

This position has direct and indirect reports with responsibility to establish and execute strategy for Supplier Quality System as part of The Hershey Company’s Product Excellence Program Globally. This includes all ingredients, complex ingredients (eg. chocolate pastes) and packaging materials for Hershey’s global manufacturing, coman and copack network. Position has responsibility to ensure compliance of FDA’s Supply Chain Preventive Control and like regulations globally. The position leads a team that supports innovation projects, continuous improvement and formulation changes working with many functions across the company.

What will you do?

• Provide strategic leadership for Hershey's global Supplier Quality Management (SQM) program by establishing quality, food safety, regulatory, and supplier governance strategies that ensure the reliable supply of ingredients and packaging materials while protecting consumers, brands, and business continuity worldwide.
• Lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of global supplier quality systems, standards, and approval processes, including supplier qualification, risk assessment, audit programs, material approval, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance management to ensure consistent execution across all regions and business units.
• Drive supplier risk mitigation, resilience, and strategic partnership programs across Hershey's ingredient and packaging portfolio by leveraging risk-based decision making, supplier capability assessments, quality metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen supply continuity, accelerate innovation, and reduce supplier-related incidents.
• Build and develop a high-performing global Supplier Quality organization by providing technical leadership, coaching, and organizational direction, while fostering strong partnerships with Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Food Safety, and external suppliers to advance business goals and quality excellence.
• Drive enterprise quality performance through data-driven supplier governance by establishing key performance indicators, monitoring supplier quality trends, identifying emerging risks, and leading corrective and preventive actions that deliver measurable improvements in supplier quality, food safety, compliance, supplier reliability, and consumer experience.
• Leads Hershey's global Supplier Quality Management program for all ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring robust supplier quality systems, food safety and regulatory compliance, supplier risk management, ingredient resiliency, packaging governance, and strategic supplier partnerships that enable reliable supply, innovation, and business growth across all markets.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in a high-speed automated Consumer Goods environment required (food industry preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with progressive responsibility in Quality Assurance required. 5 years of leadership/management experience with direct reports desired.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act, HACCP, and/or UDSA regulatory compliance required.
• Must have strong relationship management skills.

Education:

• Bachelors degree required, sci based field preferred. Certifications in SQF, PCQI, HACCP required.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $124,320 to $155,400 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
