Job Description

The Role

The Sr Manager, FP&A is Grit Marketing's senior finance partner and the owner of Sales Commissions. You own Grit Marketing's budget, forecast, and KPI reporting under the Grit Enterprise Operating System (EOS). You make sure every rep is paid accurately and on time, and that sales spend earns its return.

What You'll Do

  • Take over the Sales Commissions process and automate calculations in Salesforce and/or Domo with help from Claude.
  • Administer commission and incentive plans: accuracy, approvals, audit trail, and on-time payouts. Partner with the Staff Accountant on accruals.
  • Build and own the Grit Marketing monthly budget by department, account, and event, including sales incentive trips and company events.
  • Lead monthly BvA reviews with Grit Marketing budget department heads, including ACV targets by location and by rep.
  • Own reporting on the Grit Total ACV North Star and its drivers: ACV from Mira, ACV from other operating partners, Average ACV, and retention through the lock period. Share ownership of Mira's door-to-door new ACV with the Sr Manager, FP&A, Mira Home.
  • Track the sales rep funnel (recruits, conversion, and velocity by stage) and the Grit CAC Return Ratio.
  • Run quarterly budget recasts (3+9, 6+6, 9+3) and support the weekly sales forecast, using Adaptive Planning once it is implemented.

First-Year Outcomes

  • Finance owns Sales Commissions, with automated calculations and no payout errors that reach reps.
  • Grit Marketing's budget is approved on time and reviewed monthly with each department head.
  • ACV targets by location and rep are reported monthly against actuals.
  • The sales rep funnel is measured with agreed stage definitions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • 7 or more years in FP&A or sales finance.
  • Hands-on experience designing and administering commission plans for a large sales force.
  • Strong Salesforce and BI tool skills (Domo or similar) and advanced financial modeling, including in Adaptive Planning or a similar FP&A planning tool.
  • Ability to explain pay and performance numbers clearly to sales leaders and reps.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with door-to-door, field sales, or other high-volume sales organizations.
  • Knowledge of commission accounting (ASC 340-40).
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA.
  • Comfort using AI tools to automate analysis.
