The Sr. Director, Hospital Finance serves as the financial leader and strategic partner for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare's North and South hospital campuses. This position functions as the financial leader over these two facilities, holding a dual-reporting structure with a solid reporting line to the Hospital Presidents and a dotted reporting line to the System Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Sr. Director bridges corporate financial strategy with localized hospital operations, driving financial performance, operational budgeting, and resource optimization across both campuses to support high-quality patient care. A Brief Overview

The Sr. Director, Hospital Finance serves as the financial leader and strategic partner for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare's North and South hospital campuses. This position functions as the financial leader over these two facilities, holding a dual-reporting structure with a solid reporting line to the Hospital Presidents and a dotted reporting line to the System Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Sr. Director bridges corporate financial strategy with localized hospital operations, driving financial performance, operational budgeting, and resource optimization across both campuses to support high-quality patient care. What you will do

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner directly with the Hospital Presidents of the North and South campuses to align localized operational decisions with system-wide financial goals.
• Dual-Report Coordination: Serve as the critical financial conduit between local hospital executive teams and corporate financial leadership, ensuring seamless communication of financial metrics, strategies, and performance outcomes.
• Financial Operations & Oversight: Direct all localized financial activities using Workday and corporate enterprise systems, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual operational and capital budgets for both campuses.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and clinical financial data derived from Epic, proactively identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Capital Allocation: Evaluate, prioritize, and manage business cases for capital expenditures, facility expansions, and clinical technology investments across both sites.
• Labor & Productivity Management: Partner with nursing and operational leadership to monitor productivity metrics and staffing models to ensure fiscal responsibility without compromising clinical outcomes.
• Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure strict adherence to healthcare financial regulations, internal audit guidelines, and corporate compliance programs.

Education Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree Finance
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Accounting
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration
• Preferred: Master's Degree Business Administration
• Preferred: Master's Degree Healthcare Administration

Experience Qualifications

• Required: Financial management 5-7 years Minimum of five (5) years of progressive financial management experience within an acute-care hospital setting or a multi-hospital health system.
• Required: Experience working with clinical and non-clinical leadership, with a proven track record of managing multi-site operations and complex matrixed stakeholders.

Skills and Abilities

• Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement models.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial clinical and operational leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accountability and balance dual priorities from both local facility executives and corporate leadership.
• Ability to travel regularly and split time effectively between the North and South campus locations.

Licenses and Certifications

• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Manages assigned Associates.

Physical Demands

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
