We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic SLP to join our Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics team. Our team is composed of Developmental Behavioral pediatricians, APPs, and pediatric nurses; pediatric psychologists; social workers, licensed mental health counselors; and case managers. The position includes speech/language evaluation reading assessments including dyslexia evaluations; feeding evaluations and therapy for ARFID (excluding swallow evaluations); speech therapy for high-risk infants; and room to grow additional SLP services for this population.
Feeding intervention is available for children (all ages) and caregivers of children with feeding difficulties secondary to ARFID or pediatric feeding disorder (feeding difficulties secondary to other conditions such as ASD, cleft lip/palate, etc.). Therapy involves behavioral intervention for oral aversions/restricted diet and skill-based deficits (difficulty chewing, swallowing, drinking from a straw or open cup, using a fork/spoon, etc.), as well as parent training in communication and behavioral strategies.
Literacy intervention for school-aged children and adolescents with difficulty reading and/or spelling. Intervention involves systematic, rule-based teaching of foundational reading skills of phonological awareness (letter/sound relationships, segmenting words by sounds and syllables, etc.) and rules of reading/spelling.
