Job Description:

The Tactical Data Links group of the Communications & Spectrum Dominance segment is seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist to develop and support tactical communication systems. As a level 3 Systems Engineering Specialist your responsibilities may include proposal efforts, requirements definition/allocation, conceptual design, tradeoffs, detailed design and drawings, prototype build, and integration and test.

Essential Functions:

• Perform core Systems Engineering tasks including technical baselines, trade studies, requirements management, design reviews, validation & verification, implementation, and customer support.
• Participate in technical briefings, design reviews and documentation reviews per standard development processes. Prepare for and participate in technical reviews and discussions.
• Translate end-user/customer needs into implementable and verifiable systems requirements.
• Understand capabilities and limitations of underlying technologies and products.
• Generate verifiable product level requirements from high level system requirements.
• Establish relationships and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to align end-to-end system requirements with product roadmaps.
• Support and drive development of complex system designs and service delivery.
• Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans.
• Develop and deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
• Up to 20% travel time.
• Able to obtain a security clearance or have an active DOD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Link 16.
• Knowledge of Test Equipment including but not limited to O-Scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Signal Generators.
• Ability to derive and decompose requirements to multiple sub-systems.
• Ability to conceptualize, design, implement, and test complex RF, electrical & mechanical systems.
• Experience in system test and production test.
• Experience with RF Chain Analysis.
• Experience with MBSE.
• Experience designing Test Fixture and Interface Test Adapter (ITA) designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.
• Experience with JIRA, JAMA Connect, IBM DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Cameo Enterprise Architecture.

Salary Information:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $92,500 MIN - $171,500 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
