The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

The Site Support Technician I provides the company with essential IT services such as basic troubleshooting, break/fix operations, deskside support, walk up support, OS, software, hardware, and accessory support and provisioning. Duties also include fulfilment services such as packing, shipping, receiving, and computer cleanup. The Site Support Technician I will also work from a ticketing queue to accomplish the same work. They will be expected to keep excellent up-to-date notes and documentation.
The Site Support Technician I will provide professional and prompt customer service in all activities. They will work directly with all levels of staff including executives and their assistants. The direct customer service nature of this position requires work on-site during hours of operation. The scope of this position is generally well-defined but will also require the technician to be self-motivated and self-sufficient.
Tasks are accomplished by following a defined standard or set of procedures to achieve day to day objectives with direct impact on the area of specialty. The work is performed under moderate supervision and consists of routine tasks that may require advice and guidance from more senior personnel in the same area.
Reviews solutions and employs minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems. May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems and offer potential solutions. Problems and issues faced are generally routine but may require interpretation of procedures or polices to resolve.
Communication with contacts within the job area is typical, and information that is provided or obtained may require some explanation or interpretation to reach agreement.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing or walking between on-site locations. Occasional crawling under desks. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
