JOB TITLE: Shop Manager - Full-Time

LOCATION: Virginia Beach, Fredericksburg, and Richmond

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

COMPENSATION: $85,000-$95,000

TRAVEL: High (51%+)

Your daily impact: As our next Shop Manager, you’ll oversee maintenance operations across multiple SCA locations in Virginia, ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready to serve the communities that depend on us. You’ll lead and develop shop teams, coordinate maintenance priorities across locations, monitor fleet readiness, and partner closely with Branch and Operations leadership to minimize downtime and keep equipment moving. This role requires a strong combination of shop leadership, mechanical knowledge, organization, communication, and accountability. You’ll establish priorities, monitor work orders and repairs, help resolve complex maintenance issues, and ensure each location has the resources and support needed to maintain a safe and productive shop operation.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a diesel, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, or similar shop environment, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• License: Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Leadership & Accountability: Effectively lead and develop shop personnel, establish expectations, provide feedback, and hold teams accountable for results.
• Fleet & Maintenance Expertise: Strong understanding of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, air, and heavy equipment systems with the ability to support troubleshooting and repair decisions.
