Shipping/receiving coordinator - couch restaurants

Pay Range: Targeted pay up to $19.00 hourly, based on experience.

Position Introduction:

Responsible for shipping, receiving, delivery and storage of various materials following established standards related to a full-service restaurant. Will supervise a team of full-time and student employees. This full-time staff member is responsible for the inventory and par levels in the storeroom, production areas and walk-in units, as well as keeping these areas clean and organized. This position will report to the Production Manager and will support all areas of the restaurant while abiding by the core purpose and core values of Food Services. Will be required to complete accurate inventory counts, store and rotate food products, unload pallets of inventory to the appropriate and approved locations, and other duties as assigned.

Considered essential personnel and may be required to work even during severe weather or University closure. Will assist in other aspects of the restaurant as business needs dictate.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED.
• 24 months experience working in shipping & receiving.

Department Preferences:

• 30+ months previous experience working in a store room.
• 6+ months professional experience in a lead capacity.
• Previous experience managing food item inventory and delivering products.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks, First In First Out product usage.
• Computer skills: typing, navigating basic excel files, generating word documents, receiving/processing/responding to emails, and utilizing online inventory and ordering systems.
