Job Title: Shift Leader

Location: Mobile, AL

Status: Hourly, non-exempt | Full-time

Reports to: Store Director

Position Summary

This role leads with energy, structure, and consistency, coaches team members while holding them accountable, and keeps speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and hospitality on standard through every rush. The ideal Shift Leader is a confident, dependable leader who makes the people around them better.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the shift with energy, structure, and consistency
• Coach and develop team members while holding them accountable to the FAST standard
• Address performance directly and respectfully
• Monitor quality, cleanliness, speed, and accuracy, and correct issues in real time
• Stay composed and prioritize under pressure
• Assign positions and keep the team organized during peak periods
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, guests, and management
• Follow and reinforce food safety, cash handling, and store procedures
• Own shift results and report issues to the Store Director

Qualifications

Required: At least 6 months of experience in restaurant, retail, or customer service, or equivalent team-leadership experience (for example, military, sports, or volunteer leadership); reliable availability for the scheduled shift, including weekends and holidays

Preferred: Trainer, team lead, or supervisory experience; fast-paced food service or drive-thru experience

Schedule and Compensation

Pay: $13.00 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour increase after 90 days and completion of training checklists

Physical Requirements

• Frequently bend, twist at waist, kneel, squat, stand, and walk
• Occasionally climb and descend a ladder
• Tolerate extreme cold and hot temperatures, and work in and around fryers, ovens, grills, coolers, freezers, sharp objects, and loud noises
• Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands for the entire shift, including reaching overhead
• Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50+ lbs. occasionally, including lifting from ground to overhead
