Position Overview

Quirk is happy to announce that we have an opportunity in our busy service department at the best dealership group! We currently have opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Quirk Auto provides sales and service for many vehicles as well as a pre-owned vehicle center. The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department.

Key Required Proficiencies:

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
• Strive for harmony and teamwork
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department
• Attend managers meetings as requested
• Understand, keep up to date with, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff
• Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees
• Provide technical assistance to employees as needed
• Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and concerns of mutual interest
• Monitor technicians; payroll records

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in an auto repair facility
• Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Excellent supervisory, and managerial skills
• Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines

Quirk will provide you with Basic Life Insurance and AD&D policy of $20,000 at no cost to you. All other benefits are optional and will be offered to you at a cost. Paid sick time after 90 days and vacation after 1 year.
