About the Role:

The Service Advisor plays a critical role as the primary point of contact between customers and the automotive service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout the vehicle maintenance and repair process. This position requires managing customer inquiries, accurately diagnosing service needs, and coordinating with technicians to deliver timely and effective solutions. The Service Advisor is responsible for explaining service recommendations, providing cost estimates, and securing customer approvals while maintaining transparency and trust. By effectively managing appointments, service schedules, and follow-ups, the Service Advisor helps maximize service department efficiency and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes to building long-term customer relationships and supporting the overall success of the dealership or service center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and service management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service role.
  • Knowledge of dealership operations and automotive parts.
  • Certification in automotive service advising or related training.
  • Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs and concerns.
  • Provide clear and detailed explanations of recommended services, repairs, and associated costs.
  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle histories.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction and address any additional needs or questions.
