Job Description

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
• Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
• Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
• Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
• Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
• Providing technical support when requested.
• Documenting any processes which employees need to follow to successfully work within our computing system.
• Understanding of government Risk Management Framework standards.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology.
• Microsoft MCSE certification or similar.
• Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
• Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
• Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
• Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Skilled and experienced in secure working environments (i.e., SCIFs).
• Skilled in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, accurately.
• Skilled in Technical Analysis, Design/Re-Design, and Reporting.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving trouble calls.
• Skilled in applying policy/procedures interpreting/Implementing technical requirements.
• Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings.

TS/SCI clearance required.

Certification: MCSE, CompTia A+, CompTia Security+, CompTia Server+, and/or CompTia Network+ (or equivalent).
