Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an ELINT Systems Engineer to support analysis, design, development, integration, and test of electronic intelligence systems supporting advanced RF, radar, and threat signal characterization efforts.

This role supports the identification, collection, processing, and assessment of complex emitter signals and supports mission system development across the full engineering lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

• 20% travel based on business needs (CONUS or OCONUS).
• Perform engineering activities related to RF signal collection, analysis, identification, and characterization.
• Analyze radar, communications and other electronic emitters to support threat system understanding and mission requirements.
• Develop, evaluate and refine signal processing methods, algorithms and system performance assessments.
• Support system architecture, requirements development, design reviews, integration and verification activities.
• Provide technical oversight for laboratory, field and flight test events involving ELINT systems.
• Interpret collected data and generate technical assessments, reports and recommendations for internal and customer use.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems, software, hardware, test and mission operations personnel.
• Support proposal development, technical planning, risk identification and cost/schedule estimation.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of system performance issues.

Qualifications:

• Active US Secret security with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline and a minimum 6 or more years of relevant experience in ELINT, SIGINT, EW, RF systems or signal analysis experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated experience with signal analysis tools, spectrum analyzers, test equipment and data reduction techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with system integration, test, verification and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing complex problems and developing practical engineering solutions.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience supporting airborne or ground-based ISR/EW systems.
• Familiarity with threat libraries, mission data or intelligence support products.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++ or other technical analysis/programming tools.
• Knowledge of model-based system engineering (MBSE), requirements management and systems engineering processes.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and DOORS for requirements and workflow management.
• Understanding of radar systems, threat emitters, electromagnetic spectrum operations and RF propagation.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing, waveform analysis and emitter parameter extraction.
