Build Your Career. Own Your Future.

Golden Triangle Construction (GTC) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects throughout Colorado. For 49 years, GTC has built a reputation for delivering exceptional construction quality, personalized service, and lasting client relationships. As a full-service commercial general contractor, we specialize in projects that strengthen the communities where we live and work.

What makes GTC different? We're 100% employee-owned. Through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), eligible employees have the opportunity to share in the company's success. We're small enough that you know the people you work with, yet established enough to offer challenging projects, meaningful career opportunities, and the chance to make a lasting impact. At GTC, you're not just managing projects. You're helping build the future of a company you can own a part of.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned construction leader who brings the experience, judgment, and accountability expected of a Senior Project Manager, not an entry-level or developing project manager. This position will take ownership of significant commercial construction projects, particularly within the public and institutional sectors, including municipal facilities, K–12 and higher education buildings, fire stations, and emergency services training facilities.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership from preconstruction through project closeout, with primary responsibility for project financial performance, contract administration, scheduling, risk management, client relationships, and project team development. You'll work closely with company leadership, Superintendents, subcontractors, design professionals, and public-sector clients to deliver successful projects while protecting GTC's reputation, relationships, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Senior-Level Project Leadership: Lead multiple commercial construction projects or large, complex assignments from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Financial & Contract Management: Take primary responsibility for project budgets, profitability, financial forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, and cash flow.
  • Scheduling & Project Execution: Partner with Superintendents to develop and maintain realistic construction schedules and milestone commitments.
  • Client Relationships & Business Leadership: Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, school districts, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Provide guidance, accountability, and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible commercial construction project management experience.
  • Demonstrated success independently leading complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong understanding of general contracting operations, construction methods, cost controls, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, negotiate contracts and change orders, and resolve complex project challenges.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant construction experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and the responsibilities of the position. GTC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Discretionary Performance Bonuses
  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
  • Fitness Membership Reimbursement
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Employee Wellness Programs
  • Relocation Assistance

Why Join GTC?
