Job Summary

The Sr Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations for Levy employees at the United Center, within a unionized environment. This role ensures accurate, timely, & compliant payroll processing & risk management related to workplace injuries & labor compliance. The Senior Payroll Manager partners closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Home Office & Compass Headquarters to maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements, federal & state labor laws, & company policies.

Work Schedule

Flexible work schedule required based on event activity, payroll processing deadlines, & business needs. Monday–Friday Event Days: Typical schedule is from approximately 9:00 AM through employee check-in typically 5:30 PM. Monday–Friday Non-Event Days: Standard schedule is 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Payroll Close Weekend: Expected to work a half-day shift on either Saturday or Sunday during payroll close periods. Schedule may vary based on payroll deadlines, operational needs, & special events at the United Center.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Proficient computer skills. 5+ years of payroll management experience required, preferably in a unionized environment. Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, wage & hour regulations, & collective bargaining agreements. High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex, high-volume payrolls. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with union representatives, managers, & leadership.
