The team develops the physical hardware foundation for GM’s software-defined vehicles, including compute, connectivity, networking, displays, and other electronic platforms that enable in-vehicle software, infotainment, ADAS, vehicle controls, and connected experiences.
CCH’s work spans architecture, requirements, hardware and electronics design, embedded hardware, systems integration, validation, launch, and in-market performance. Our engineers collaborate across software, systems, controls, cybersecurity, functional safety, vehicle engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing to develop reliable, production-ready hardware for GM’s vehicle portfolio.
In-vehicle electronics are at the core of the software-defined vehicle, enabling advanced compute platforms, zone and body controllers, high-speed networking, cameras, and connected technologies. We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join GM’s Compute & Connectivity Hardware (CCH) organization and help develop the next generation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs). The Power Center of Excellence is responsible for delivering robust, efficient, and reliable power architectures that enable advanced vehicle functionality. You will leverage deep power electronics expertise to drive technical excellence, resolve complex challenges, and establish engineering standards that support GM’s electrification and SDV strategies.
This is an opportunity to help define the future of vehicle technology. You'll collaborate with experts across hardware, software, systems, controls, and integration engineering to solve difficult technical problems at scale. Whether you're driving architecture decisions, developing cutting-edge hardware, or validating complex systems, your work will directly influence the capabilities of millions of vehicles on the road.
