Job Description

Acosta Connected Commerce is seeking an experienced Senior Brand Manager to lead the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of enterprise-level clients on Amazon. Acosta Connected Commerce is a full-service marketing and account management e-commerce agency for brands, manufacturers, and sellers on Amazon.

The Senior Brand Manager will set and steer strategic priorities, manage account performance and profitability, and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable plans. This person must be equally comfortable developing executive-level recommendations, presenting to C-suite leaders, negotiating with Amazon, and working hands-on within Vendor/Seller Central to resolve issues and drive execution.

The ideal candidate is a confident client leader who can adapt their communication and selling style across various client, customer, cross-functional and executive stakeholders. They are highly organized, commercially minded, data-driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, change, competing priorities, and the fast pace of managing multiple complex client businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Strategy and Leadership

  • Serve as the senior strategic partner for enterprise-level clients, building trusted relationships across various stakeholders, including Brand Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance and executive leadership.
  • Set, sell, and steer strategic priorities and joint business plans based on each client’s business objectives, Amazon performance, financial goals, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and recommend short- and long-term Amazon sales, marketing, and merchandising strategies designed to achieve client sales, profitability, and conversion goals.
  • Build business cases and investment recommendations that connect growth opportunities to expected financial and commercial outcomes.
  • Adapt communication and influence style across different roles, personalities, and levels of seniority, from day-to-day contacts to C-suite executives.
  • Lead executive-level business reviews, annual planning sessions, and top-to-top meetings with clients and Amazon.
  • Translate complex data, challenges, and opportunities into concise recommendations, clear decisions, and actionable plans.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships, improve retention, and increase the value delivered by Acosta Connected Commerce.
  • Maintain a proactive communication cadence that keeps clients engaged and aligned on priorities, performance, risks, decisions, and next steps.

Amazon Business Management

  • Lead the day-to-day and strategic management of complex Amazon Vendor and Seller Central businesses.
  • Build and manage relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, Vendor Services, and other Amazon stakeholders.
  • Represent clients in Amazon meetings, negotiations, planning sessions, and business reviews.
  • Lead annual accrual and trade-term negotiations in partnership with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Own account-level business performance, including sales, profitability, investment, forecasting, inventory, and operational health.
  • Develop and execute annual Amazon growth plans and forecasting aligned with client objectives.
  • Develop merchandising strategies that support product launches, priority ASINs, top sellers, seasonal campaigns, promotional events, and emerging category trends.
  • Oversee digital shelf strategy across content, SEO, discoverability, conversion, ratings and reviews, and promotional execution to improve customer experience and business performance.
  • Partner with media teams to align retail strategy, advertising investment, promotional planning, merchandising, and measurement to increase customer engagement, conversion, and profitable growth.
  • Monitor retail and operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and lead appropriate corrective actions.
  • Move seamlessly between strategic leadership and hands-on tactical work within Amazon systems.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on technical projects, new Amazon features, tools, and capabilities that improve client performance or online customer experience.

Cross-Functional and Team Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across operations, media, sales, catalog, content, and other internal and external partners to support a unified e-commerce strategy.
  • Establish clear ownership, timelines, and escalation paths across complex workstreams.
  • Establish measurement plans and operating cadences that track program effectiveness, surface performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Balance priorities across multiple clients while managing competing deadlines, urgent business needs, and resource constraints.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to direct reports, Brand Managers, and other team members.
  • Create clarity in ambiguous situations and keep teams focused on actions that will have the greatest business impact.
  • Drive internal initiatives that improve client service, team effectiveness, processes, and commercial outcomes.
  • Bring client feedback and marketplace insights back to internal teams to help strengthen Acosta Connected Commerce services and capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor and Seller Central, and direct management of large, complex Amazon businesses.
  • Experience working directly with Amazon Vendor Managers and Vendor Services.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-level client relationships, Amazon budgets, financial performance, and P&Ls.
  • Experience leading client and Amazon negotiations, including annual accruals, trade terms, investment planning, and joint business priorities.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling abilities, including experience building and presenting QBRs, annual planning and top-to-top materials.
  • Experience coordinating retail, operations, catalog, content, and media strategies across large Amazon businesses.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and conflicting priorities while shifting seamlessly between strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
  • Demonstrated comfort operating in ambiguous environments and developing structure, direction, and accountability where processes may not yet be defined.

  • Strategic and enterprise-level client experience and oversight.
  • Possess the ability to develop, adapt, and refine strategic direction for brands grounded in superior consumer and customer insights.
  • Understanding of e-commerce channels and online marketplaces.
  • Abstract problem-solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous environments.
  • Entrepreneurial aptitude and positive attitude.
  • Vendor management, account management, and/or agency experience desired.
