Role Purpose

The position is primarily responsible for site security supervisor duties and will also serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the cleared facility. Approximately one third of the position is expected to support FSO and classified-program responsibilities; workload may vary based on classified contract activity, inspections, incidents, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Corning and contract security officers: performance, training, assignments, and accountability.
  • Partner with the contract provider on staffing and performance expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations and training. Use metrics and alarm trends to spot vulnerabilities and reduce risk.
  • Report and present updates to Security Managers.
  • Implement security policies, deliver awareness training, and support investigations.
  • Join CGS and facility project teams. Coordinate vendor and technical support with the CGS Service Delivery Team.
  • Run ongoing security assessments against CGS standards and recommend mitigations.
  • Keep security technology and programs functional and compliant.
  • Partner with local law enforcement.
  • Serve as designated FSO. Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DD254s, customer requirements, and company policy.
  • Manage personnel-security actions, classified visits, and the handling of classified material (safeguarding, storage, transmission, destruction). Handle incident reporting and records.
  • Implement classified-contract requirements with the Commercial Team and Program Management. Coordinate with CGS, SMO, Legal, HR, ISSM, IT, KMP, GSOC, cleared employees, and the ITPSO.
  • Conduct self-inspections, track corrective actions, maintain DISS/NISS access, and support DCSA and customer audits.
  • Serve as liaison to DCSA and government customers. Escalate risks and incidents promptly.
  • Maintain an FSO continuity plan with a trained Corporate Security designee.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • BS degree required, or 2-year degree plus 3-5 years of security experience.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience, including the ability to coach, train, and hold team members accountable.
  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain the personnel security clearance/access required for the position.
  • Ability to manage and administer a facility’s compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DCSA security requirements, including safeguarding classified information, security procedures, and maintaining facility-clearance obligations.
  • Ability to interpret, implement, and enforce federal security policies, regulations, and reporting requirements related to personnel security, physical security, insider threat, and incident management.
  • Sound judgment, confidence, and the ability to make solid decisions while maintaining a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and customer-service skills; able to communicate effectively and tactfully at all organizational levels and externally.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, remain process-minded and detail-orientated, and exercise discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Positive attitude, high initiative, and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, security systems, and electronic platforms; ability to obtain and maintain access to DISS, NISS, and other required systems.
