This is a sales-focused position where you'll connect with prospective customers, learn what they need, prepare personalized insurance quotes, and help them choose coverage that fits their situation. You'll be responsible for creating new business while building relationships that can turn new customers into long-term clients.

Previous insurance experience is valuable, but it isn't the only background we're considering. If you've succeeded in sales, customer service, automotive, banking, wireless, retail, hospitality, or another results-driven environment, your skills may translate well into an insurance sales career.

Salary Range

$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is comfortable starting conversations, asking questions, building trust, and confidently asking for the sale. The right person doesn't need to be an insurance expert on day one, but they should be motivated to learn, receptive to coaching, consistent with follow-up, and comfortable being held accountable to measurable sales goals.

• Can stay organized with leads, quotes, and follow-ups

• Are coachable and willing to continue developing your sales skills
• Can work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Have a Property & Casualty General Lines license or are willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Your primary focus will be generating new business and helping prospective customers find insurance coverage that fits their needs. You'll manage opportunities throughout the sales process—from the initial conversation and quote through follow-up and closing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Connect with prospective customers and develop new business opportunities
• Ask questions to understand each customer's insurance needs
• Prepare personalized insurance quotes
• Present coverage options clearly and professionally
• Follow up consistently with leads and outstanding quotes
• Confidently ask for the sale and work to close new business
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Identify opportunities for additional insurance products and coverage
• Maintain organized records of leads, quotes, and customer interactions
• Develop knowledge of Farmers Insurance products and processes
• Work toward individual and agency sales and new-business goals
