Position Details:

Location: St. Joseph's Women's Hospital 3030 West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607

Status: Full-Time

Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

On Call: Yes Always in person

Summary: The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years RN experience in the Operating Room. Charge or Service Line Coordinator experience preferred. This position is a Service Line Coordinator role focused on the Robotics Service Line in the Operating Room. Strong robotics experience is preferred.

Specific Skills: Clinical skills appropriate to position Interpersonal skills

Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

Preferred Nurse Specialty Education: Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or RN Certification in related field (CNOR)

Experience: Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
