Full-Service Hotel | Wichita, Kansas

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our in-house restaurant at our full-service, 302-room hotel in Wichita, Kansas. Our property offers a dynamic hospitality environment, including restaurant dining, a bar, and banquet facilities accommodating up to 500 guests.

We are looking for a motivated leader who understands restaurant operations, knows how to build a dependable team, and takes pride in delivering outstanding food service and hospitality. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a commitment to guest satisfaction, and the ability to keep daily operations running smoothly in a busy hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant and bar operations, ensuring efficient service and an exceptional dining experience.
• Lead, train, schedule, and develop restaurant employees while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for service standards and job responsibilities.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests, local customers, and groups visiting the property.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, service speed, cleanliness, and overall restaurant appearance.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage labor costs, inventory, ordering, waste, and other controllable operating expenses.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director, culinary team, and banquet department to coordinate operations and maintain consistent service standards.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of restaurant staff.
• Monitor restaurant performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience is required.
• Hotel restaurant or full-service hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, scheduling, labor management, and cost controls.
• Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to step in when needed to support the team.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
