Restaurant Assistant General Manager

Polished and elevated full-service restaurant offering lunch and dinner is looking for a dynamic Assistant General Manager to help lead our guest experience and daily service operations.

About the Role

The Assistant General Manager directs the front-of-house team and service flow. You will lead pre-shift meetings, coach staff in real time, and maintain strong service standards throughout each shift. You will support hiring, training, and scheduling, manage reservations and seating, keep communication clear between FOH and BOH and ensure proper staffing levels for restaurant.

Restaurant experience is essential! The ability to consistently execute high service standards and ensure food quality and appealing presentation are key to success in this role. We train and promote from within, and we support development for long-term growth. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-shift meetings and set clear service expectations
• Support hiring, training, and scheduling of FOH staff
• Oversee daily service flow, reservations, and seating
• Ensure consistent timing, quality checks, and table touches
• Coach staff during service to maintain standards and guest readiness
• Monitor ticket times and overall service pace
• Maintain a clean, organized, guest-ready dining room
• Track and support FOH efficiencies, including labor targets
• Communicate with the kitchen to support smooth service
