Resource manager

The Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring the right equipment, inventory, and services are available to support safe and efficient operations across the assigned Basin or GeoUnit.

This role leads the integrated planning process, balancing customer demand with available resources while optimizing cost, asset utilization, inventory levels, maintenance operational readiness. The resource Manager workforce capacity, and serves as a key business partner to Operations and Commercial leaders, translating market activity into actionable supply chain and Maintenance strategies that enable profitable growth. This position requires strong leadership, operational understanding, and deep experience within the Oil & Gas industry.

Strategic Planning & Resource Management

Lead the integrated planning process across workforce, assets, inventory, logistics, and third party services. Translate business forecasts, customer demand, and market outlook into actionable supply and capacity plans.

Develop short term, tactical, and long term resource strategies to support operational growth. Ensure alignment between operational requirements and available capacity.

Operations Support & Execution

Ensure execution teams have the personnel, equipment, and materials required to deliver customer commitments. Collaborate with the operational risks. Sales and the Operations Managers to anticipate demand fluctuations and Drive rapid response plans during periods of growth, activity changes, or supply constraints.

• Participate in operational reviews and strategic business planning exercises.

Inventory & Asset Management

Optimize inventory levels while maintaining operational readiness. Establish inventory policies and stocking strategies to minimize working capital without impacting service delivery. Lead asset deployment and utilization planning across locations. Identify opportunities to reduce idle equipment, excess inventory, and rental expenses.

Logistics & Supply Chain Performance

Oversee logistics strategies supporting field operations. Ensure effective transportation planning and resource movements across operating locations. Collaborate with Procurement and Suppliers to improve service levels and reduce costs. Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for critical resources.

Financial Performance

Develop and execute initiatives that improve profitability through better resource utilization and cost management. SLB-Private • Monitor key cost drivers including workforce, transportation, rentals, inventory carrying costs, and asset ownership costs.

Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reviews. Deliver measurable improvements in working capital, operational efficiency, and cost structure.

Continuous Improvement & Digital Enablement

Lead the adoption and effective use of planning systems including SAP, MRP, IBP, and analytics tools. Establish performance metrics and reporting dashboards. Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote data Leadership Making across the organization.

Maintenance and Supply chain personnel. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Coach team members and build organizational capability. Serve as a key leader within the basin or GeoUnit leadership team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field.

10+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience.

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Resource Management, or Field Operations.

Strong knowledge of land operations, field service delivery, equipment management, and workforce planning.

Experience leading cross functional teams in a fast paced operational environment.

Experience with SAP, MRP, IBP, or similar planning systems.

Preferred Experience

Hydraulic Fracturing, Completions, Wireline, Cementing, Artificial Lift, Drilling, Production, or Integrated Service Operations.

Experience managing large field workforces and operational support organizations.

Proven success leading transformation, planning, or cost optimization initiatives.
