Rental Operations Manager

The Rental Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the Bogus Basin Rental, Lease, and Repair department.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Manage all aspects of winter and summer rental, repair, and lease operations.
• Opening/Closing of rental shop operations day and night.
• Purchasing of all rental merchandise and supplies.
• Monitor and report all rental inventories.
• Oversee and handle all rental banks, deposits, and day sheets.
• Supervise all rental personnel including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, disciplining, and terminating.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job

• Assist employees with their duties as needed.
• Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions or situations while on premise.
• Assist guests in any way to help solve any problems that may arise.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Passionate about Bogus Basin’s Mission.
• 3 years management experience in ski, snowboard and mountain bike rental operations, and equipment lease programs. (Preferred)
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to make sound decisions under stressful situations.
• Basic understanding of computers and cash registers. Experience with RTP and Aspenware (Preferred)
• Employee is regularly required to stand/sit; balance, walk, climb, reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds above shoulder level.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
• Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
• Must be able to pass background check.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions

Both indoors and outdoors. Position will be exposed to inclement weather; outdoor mountain environment. Vibration and noise are present in the work environment.

Personal Appearance

When in the public eye, your personal appearance is an important part of the product we offer our guests. You should come to work neatly groomed and in uniform. In addition to the uniform you are issued, you will be required to provide:

• Pac boots in good repair
• Gloves and mittens, durable and in good repair
• Woolen hat
• Thermal wear, sufficient clothing for warmth
