The Manufacturing Quality Engineer (QE) is a hands-on quality professional who partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure product and process quality across fabrication, assembly, powder coating, and operations. This role focuses on daily shop-floor engagement, rapid problem solving, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering, in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, powder coating). Certifications such as CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Experience with ERP systems and quality management software preferred.
Proficient in quality tools: A3, 8D, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA. Experience with ISO 9001. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Statistical data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority. Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills. High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
