Qc technician- aggregates

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Perform field sampling and laboratory testing of aggregates in accordance with INDOT, ASTM and AASHTO standards and report those results to the Plant Superintendent or Plant Manager. Maintain records and report results in a neat and timely manner. Maintain a clean and professional lab and recognize and observe all safety regulations including MSHA and imi policies. Product troubleshooting. Maintain certifications and qualifications through exams, seminars and related industry courses. Cooperate with their respective QC Manager in addition to assisting in achieving and maintaining the company’s corporate quality vision. Maintain an appropriate level of professionalism and exhibit a manner of conduct consistent with promoting a good image for the company. Additional duties/special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must be safety oriented and experienced with MSHA regulations.
• Some experience in the aggregate industry is a plus but not required.
• Must have the ability to perform mathematical operations involving variables and percentages.
• Must have the ability to assess situations and solve problems quickly.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Computer skills in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Become an INDOT CAPP Certified Technician within 12 months of hire.
