Psychology - Quantitative Methods Assistant Professor

The Department of Psychology is searching for a tenure-track, academic-year position as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. The candidate’s primary area of specialization may be in quantitative methods, or it may be in another subdiscipline of psychology, provided that quantitative methods play a substantial role in the candidate’s research program.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Teaching foundation and advanced courses in statistics and research design within our undergraduate (B.A.) program and graduate (M.A.) programs in General/Experimental Psychology
• Supervising undergraduate and graduate research students in an active research program in the candidate’s area of expertise.

Qualifications:

Required Education: An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Psychology or closely related field from an accredited (or equivalent) institution. Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered; however, for appointment, the doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2027.

Required Experience: Evidence of successful teaching, either as an instructor-of-record or as a teaching assistant. Evidence of research productivity. A commitment to student success through inclusive, accessible, and transformative education and to working collaboratively and respectfully with students, faculty, staff in our diverse community.
