PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN

Location: Travis AFB, CA

Facility: Davis Grant Medical Center (60th MDG) – DHN Central

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join the team at Davis Grant Medical Center (60th MDG) – DHN Central at Travis AFB, California. The Psychiatric Technician will provide direct support to patients receiving behavioral health and psychiatric services while working closely with nurses, providers, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct support and assistance to patients receiving behavioral health and psychiatric care.
Monitor patients and observe changes in behavior, mood, and overall condition.
Assist clinical staff with patient care and daily treatment activities.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfer procedures as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Psychiatric Technician Certification required.
Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, healthcare, or patient-care settings preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
