Provider enrollment coordinator

Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Provider Enrollment Coordinator position manages the provider database within the organization. This position serves as the contact for providers and acts as a liaison between various hospitals and payer groups.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum 2 years of payor enrollment experience preferred.
• Familiarity of payer processes, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Must possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficient computer, typing and writing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through discipline.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must possess a high level of confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain provider database files in Excel, Medicred and CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, Inc.).
• Track and maintain current copies of provider documents including expiration dates.
• Evaluate all documentation received and identify any concerns that require follow up action.
• Input data for practitioner files and status reports.
• Review payor website to ensure accuracy of provider data.
• Complete payor enrollment for onboarding/new physicians.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
