We are looking to add a Project Engineer to our team. This position offers flexibility to be based out of our St. James, LA or Norco, LA branch. Applicants should be highly motivated, hard-working individuals who hold safety as their number one priority.

Responsibilities

• Perform a job site visit to assess jobsite and review job scope with client.
• Utilize computer aided design software to draw the crane, matting, rigging, load, and jobsite.
• Determine the proper crane size, type and configuration.
• Determine the proper rigging size, type and capacity.
• Determine the necessary matting to achieve an allowable ground bearing pressure.
• Assemble lift plan packets with all required details and drawings.
• Review the lift plan with client and field personnel performing the work.
• Relay all relevant job costs and pricing considerations to the sales and/or operations team.

Qualifications:

Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Design Drafting, or other related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered as a substitute. Experience with software in Microsoft Office suite. 3 years of experience in planning for cranes and/or rigging preferred. Familiarity with working in refineries and chemical plants preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred, equivalent experience with other crane/rigging planning software acceptable.
