The Project Cost Manger (PCM) will work at the direction of the Project Controls Lead, and support project managers as necessary to execute and deliver assigned projects. The primary responsibility of the project cost manger is to track the overall financial status, measure cost elements and key indicators such as budgets, actuals, trends, reserves and estimates to complete, and to ultimately monitor the performance of the capital project as assigned.
On a routine basis, PCM will perform a variety of cost, schedule and process workflow reporting exercises and employ a variety of industry best practices, in accordance with company guidelines, in an effort to drive the successful completion of tasked objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, reporting on measured cost data and schedule progress against established metrics, scheduling meetings, establishing agendas, and recording minutes, maintaining reporting records and evaluating performance based on historical benchmarking.
This position will routinely interface with cross functional departments, internal project management teams and owner representative consultants. PCM should be prepared to prioritize their work based on critical elements, new and changing information, and work alongside the project team to achieve cost and schedule targets.
PCM will consistently interface with Project Management Information System (PMIS) software, eBuilder, as well as Oracle/SAP financial tracking software to ensure alignment and accuracy of data. This position will perform regular reporting inquiries to produce cost reports for team review and requires thorough analysis of common industry indicators such as budget reviews, cash flows, % complete progress tracking, earned value management, and monthly accruals.
The PCM will regularly report progress updates each week and will function as a focal point of contact for project managers to provide project information in a typical reporting format, such as slide decks and dashboards. The project cost analyst will coordinate directly with Project Managers, as well as the rest of the project team, vendors, contractors, and suppliers, as required, to perform project updates.
In addition, PCM will perform various administrative tasks as necessary to assist Project Managers with a variety of ad hoc duties as assigned. This position requires thorough collaboration and investigative skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously at times, to successfully execute and deliver on all project controls related phase deliverables that are required throughout the project lifecycle.
The hiring range for this position is $90 to $110 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
