About the Role

Netflix's Creative Innovation team works at the intersection of storytelling and emerging technology, shaping how solutions like Generative AI influence production practices across the Studio and the broader industry. This role sits at the center of that work.

You will own the operational backbone of that work: scoping engagements, building budgets, aligning stakeholders, and managing vendors so that every project run through this program has the same rigor and discipline as any other production, even while the work itself is experimental. You'll be the first point of contact for productions and vendors alike, translating what's technically possible into a clear plan a title can actually execute against, and you'll keep leadership and stakeholders informed with clean, credible reporting on status, risk, and progress.

This is a role for someone who is energized by operational ownership in ambiguous territory: comfortable quickly grasping new and emerging technologies, credible with executives, creators, and vendors alike, and able to bring order to work that, by nature, doesn't have a template yet.

Key Responsibilities

• Scope and stand up new engagements. Define budgets, timelines, and stakeholder alignment at kickoff so each project starts with a clear plan.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for productions. Keep title managers and filmmakers informed on scope, timeline, and what this program's involvement means for their production, from kickoff through wrap.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance. Set expectations, monitor pacing and quality, and identify opportunities for continued development or maturity graduation.
• Partner with leadership on project sourcing. Evaluate candidate titles, assess risk and investment tradeoffs, and justify selections against program criteria.
• Handle the legal and contracting logistics of each engagement. Confirm that creator agreements and vendor paperwork are completed before funded work begins.
• Report on program status, risk, and performance. Synthesize feedback and sentiment gathered across regions into clear updates for stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Produce the materials that document the program's work. Build project recaps, summaries, and presentations for productions and leadership.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in production coordination or production management, with ownership of budgets, timelines, and status tracking across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors, including setting expectations and identifying issues early.
• Comfortable quickly grasping and speaking credibly about new and emerging creative technologies, even without prior specialized expertise, and translating capabilities and limitations into practical rollout plans.
• Clear, direct communicator who can flex naturally between executives, creators, and vendors.
• Comfortable operating within an innovation space, pivoting quickly, and living comfortably with ambiguity.
• Strong writing and presentation skills, including deck building and narrative synthesis.
• High integrity and discretion with sensitive creator, vendor, and internal information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with virtual production, volumetric capture, or VFX workflows.
• Existing familiarity with the generative AI landscape (image, video, audio) and how productions evaluate and adopt these tools.
• Exposure to vendor or technology partner evaluation frameworks.
• Experience working across international productions or regional teams.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $165,000.00 - $265,000.00.
