Your exact responsibilities will vary depending upon assignment, but you can expect opportunities like these during your internship:
This position directly works with the design, setup, quality, and support of integrated control and display systems. A unique aspect of this position is not only being able to technically work with these systems but developing an eye for what looks good on a display.
This internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 13 August 2027, with the possibility of adjusting the schedule to fit your academic calendar.
Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.
The typical hiring range for this position is $17.50 to $20.00 per hour based on the location of Brookings, SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

To be considered for Product Demonstration Technical Intern, we require the following:
Preferred applicants will be full-time students of at least junior status currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or other technical degrees. Will consider December 2025 and May 2026 graduates.
Able to take a semester off from school to complete the internship, if applicable.
Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week. Overtime will be required, as needed, to support special events and travel.
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application.
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time on trips ranging in length from two days to two weeks, including some weekends.
The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements for operating Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV):
You can quickly learn technical product features and functions and can communicate to non-technical customers and users.
Can capture and evaluate non-technical customer feedback and organize to communicate to technical product managers and developers.
You have a strong interest in sports and can relate to stakeholders of sporting applications.
You’re an outgoing, self-motivated, flexible, well-organized person who is both empathetic and personable. You understand customers, so know the work schedule may include evenings and weekends. You can meet our academic, travel, and other requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and self-motivation skills.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Spanish or French helpful.
