Perinatal and maternal outpatient therapist

Position Summary

The Perinatal and Maternal Outpatient Therapist will provide gender-responsive, evidence-based services to pregnant and parenting adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders at the Horizons Orange County site located in Carrboro, NC.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, developing initial substance use and co-occurring treatment plans, documenting therapeutic encounters, providing brief counseling, and facilitating gender-responsive therapeutic groups within a multidisciplinary perinatal program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Promote treatment engagement, stabilization, and consultation in a gender-responsive substance use disorder treatment program
• Contribute to a group-focused treatment environment, including regular facilitation and co-facilitation of therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated, person-centered treatment.

Required license: LCSW, LCAS, LMFT, or LCMHC, or provisional license

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
