Responsibility

Under the direction of a qualified Registered Nurse, performs various patient care activities and related clerical functions that support the clinical operations of the Emergency Department. Provides technical support and participates in unit activities as a team member. Participates in unit, departmental, and organizational improvement activities as assigned. Responsible for review, completion and terminal filing of ED records.

Qualifications

Education:

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: Post secondary education in a related field. Medical Terminology

License/Certifications:

• Certifications: Current BLS-provided during week one of hire. CPI certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Experience:

• Minimum: One year acute care experience in hospital setting. Computer literacy required
• Preferred: Phlebotomy, EKG, ED Experience, Medical Terminology course
