PAY:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour - Depending on Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Part-Time Household Manager / Housekeeper / Personal Assistant to help keep a private home clean, organized, stocked, and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on household position combining housekeeping, residential cleaning, laundry, home organization, simple meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, pet care support, and household management.

This role is ideal for someone with experience as a Household Manager, House Manager, Private Housekeeper, Family Assistant, Personal Assistant, Household Assistant, or Executive Housekeeper who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day household needs.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who notices what needs to be done, stays organized, follows through without constant supervision, and communicates clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Cleaning

• Perform routine housekeeping and residential cleaning, including dishes, kitchen cleaning, bathroom cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
• Keep kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, and common areas clean and tidy
• Complete light or deeper cleaning tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and organized home

Laundry & Home Organization

• Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry
• Change and wash bed linens weekly
• Follow garment and fabric-care instructions
• Organize closets, drawers, cabinets, pantry areas, and common spaces
• Rotate seasonal clothing
• Complete manageable decluttering and home organization projects

Grocery Shopping, Errands & Household Supplies

• Monitor and restock household supplies
• Maintain kitchen, pantry, bathroom, cleaning, and laundry essentials
• Place approved household and online orders
• Complete grocery shopping and household errands
• Handle approved purchases and returns
• Bring in and sort mail and packages and flag important items

Meal Prep & Kitchen Support

• Prepare simple meals, lunches, and snacks
• Complete basic meal prep such as chicken, easy lunches, and yogurt parfaits
• Label and store prepared food
• Keep the refrigerator, pantry, and kitchen organized and tidy

Household Management & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate household vendors, including lawn care, pool service, pest control, cleaning, and maintenance providers
• Track appointments and follow up on scheduled household services
• Arrange vehicle detailing as needed
• Flag household maintenance or repair issues
• Assist with light seasonal decorating and plant care

Pet Care Support

• Be comfortable working in a home with dogs
• Give scheduled dog medication during working hours according to the owner's written instructions
• Assist with coordinating dog sitting and other pet-care arrangements

Travel & Personal Assistant Support

• Review the owner's travel calendar
• Assist with packing and unpacking
• Help prepare the home before and after travel
• Coordinate household and pet-care arrangements during travel

Household Communication

• Maintain and update a shared household task list
• Prioritize responsibilities during each four-hour visit
• Provide a brief update after each visit
• Communicate proactively about household supplies, maintenance needs, errands, and completed tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in household management, housekeeping, residential cleaning, personal assistance, family assistance, or a similar hands-on household role
• Experience with cleaning, laundry, home organization, meal prep, grocery shopping, and errands
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and discreet
• Self-starter who can identify and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
• Able to balance housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, errands, and household coordination during a four-hour visit
• Comfortable working around dogs and following specific pet-care instructions
• Comfortable using shared calendars, text, email, online shopping, and grocery delivery apps
• Reliable transportation for work and agreed household errands
• Valid driver's license if driving is required as part of assigned duties
• Able to perform routine household tasks involving cleaning, laundry, standing, bending, and lifting, with reasonable accommodation as needed
• Respectful of the homeowner's privacy, belongings, preferences, and personal information
