Job Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

• Follow Current Standard Operating Procedures for Donation Process.
• Greet all donors within 15 seconds of arrival.
• Accept donations from customers, provides physical receipts or offers digital receipts and thanks all donors.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Sort and arrange donations in bins to go to various sorting areas of the store.
• Discard broken, damaged, or trash items from raw hardline boxes.
• Invite customers to complete the CAP (Customer Ambassador Program) survey during customer interactions.
• Coordinate with sorters to maintain continuous product flow.
• Monitor box capacity levels and coordinate timely replacement.
• Ensure the sorting area and all boxes are set up and ready prior to the sorters’ opening shift.
• Keep donation area well maintained.
• Accurately track quantity of donations during shift.
• Load and unload company trucks and trailers.
• Ensure all boxes have proper labeling.
• Follow and enforce all company procedures.
• Stay up to date on all safety and equipment certifications as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Knowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) is required. Proficient in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in the English language. Education/license required: None.

Equipment Used: Pushcarts, Electric Stackers, boxes, barrels, hand trucks, z-racks, clothing/display racks, mattress cart.

Working Conditions

Work is performed on an enclosed storeroom floor. The area is heated and ventilated. Stores have a receiving area where work is performed on a daily basis. Dust and dirt are controlled by daily cleaning and are insignificant.

Physical Requirements

The workplace is fast, requiring lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 lbs consistently. On a regular basis heavier item of up to 75 lbs will be lifted.
