Privileges & Compliance

Credentialing Timeline: Minimal credentialing (FQHC)

Job Requirements

Licenses: Active ME license preferred

Board: Board Certification by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry

Experience: Experience in FQHC or high-volume Medicaid setting preferred

Other Qualifications: Graduation from an approved school of optometry. Clean criminal and DHHS background.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide quality eye care and emergency treatment to a diverse patient population.

Examine eyes and visual systems to diagnose problems or impairments.

Prescribe corrective lenses and provide comprehensive treatment plans.

Prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions as needed.

Work collaboratively across two campus locations (South Patten and Houlton) within an FQHC setting.
