Operations Training & Development Manager

Job Description Summary

We’re looking for an Operations Training & Development Manager to join our growing Learning & Development (L&D) team. This role’s emphasis is to create, drive, and facilitate Operations skills and responsibilities in our account’s current and future learning and development programs, workshops, and courses – in-person, virtual, and online. This includes coordinating and overseeing on-job-training components. Success in role is someone who has RME Operations leadership experience, preferably in Amazon 3P RME environment, with strong facilitation skills and who connects easily with learners in different leadership roles. This role may also help support coordination and execution of broader L&D efforts.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with internal subject matter experts to scope, outline, and design operations’ training experiences that align with performance gaps and our business and client needs
• Builds relationships with leaders in the field and in support roles to collaborate effectively
• Informs and helps design operations’ content, including on-job-training, aligned to business needs and performance gaps by role
• Delivers RME operations’ training in-person in classrooms and on-job as well as virtually
• Continuously develops strong facilitation and storytelling skills to drive their effectiveness in connecting learners to their impact on operations performance and our culture, mission, and values
• Evaluates effectiveness of operations’ components in programs, experiences via participant feedback, stakeholder feedback
• Balances demands of multiple projects and/or requests against timelines that may shift – ability to communicate roadblocks, help needed, and needed changes to meet completion
• Supports and/or conducts train the trainer sessions for operations content as needed
• Collaborates with Organizational L&D team on future needs and direction and supports where needed for successful outcomes
• Travel – this position includes up to 50% travel depending on business needs for in-person L&D workshops and courses; travel could be more than 50% / month in short term if program/business needs call for it

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 – 3 years RME leadership experience, bonus if more than in one business unit type
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to connect well with people in different roles, including in engineering, maintenance and corporate support roles
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to work independently, with a small team, and with SMEs to achieve successful learning and development outcomes
• Excellent project management, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to learn and understand environments of our learners and utilize common scenarios when delivering content
• Familiarity with and solid Microsoft Office skills – PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word especially; Smartsheet
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but operations leadership experience is critical

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $93,500.00 - $110,000.00
