We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Oncology Accreditation Data Specialist to support oncology program operations, accreditation compliance, quality reporting, and performance improvement initiatives across the Cancer Center.

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter resource on oncology accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, helping ensure the Cancer Center maintains compliance with organizations such as the Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), New York State, and the National Cancer Database (NCDB). You will collaborate with physicians, leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate cancer committee activities, accreditation submissions, data reporting, policy management, and quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret oncology accreditation requirements and communicate regulatory updates to leadership.
• Coordinate Cancer Committee activities, meetings, documentation, and accreditation submissions.
• Prepare, analyze, validate, and report cancer-related data and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support data collection and reporting processes.
• Conduct documentation and quality audits to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and track outcomes.
• Maintain accreditation-related policies and procedures.
• Coordinate cancer conferences and CME participation processes.
• Develop reports and presentations for leadership and committee review.
• Educate team members on accreditation standards and reporting requirements.

This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week) daytime position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY, in Upper Westchester. The schedule will consist of three days per week, between Monday and Friday, based on departmental needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field.
• Oncology Data Specialist Certification (ODS-C), formerly Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR), preferred.
• 3–5 years of oncology-related experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working with accreditation organizations and hospital regulatory reporting agencies.
• Knowledge of healthcare administration and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and computer skills.
• Financial management and budgeting knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
