VOTED BEST PLACE TO WORK IN OMAHA!
Long before the pandemic, QLI understood and emphasized the importance of our team members. Our commitment to each other and our Mission drives our leadership decisions. We are not restrained by corporate decisions made by people who are not on campus every day. Your supervisor and teammates throughout the organization know your name!
We recognize that YOU are our greatest asset, and we reward you for it. We are looking for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about protecting and building a strong team culture. As Coordinator of Nursing, you will lead and support our nurses and medication aides, helping them do their best work while growing as professionals.
We are the nation's leader in providing a comprehensive approach to the therapeutic process of a person who is recovering from the effects of a spinal cord or traumatic brain injury. This is a unique opportunity to shape how a nursing team learns, works together, and shows up for the clients/residents in their care.
Our nursing team consists of a diverse group of individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels. Some bring experience in specialized medical settings, while others come from hospital or clinic environments. Others are newer graduates or began their careers as CNAs before earning their nursing degree. As Coordinator, you will help unify this team, reinforcing that there is no hierarchy here, only people relentlessly pursuing the best outcomes for our residents, together.
Do you care deeply about the people you lead, not just the tasks they complete?
Do you thrive on building trust, consistency, and a strong sense of team among nurses and med aides?
Do you want to be part of an organization that encourages asking questions at all levels to ensure we are providing the best care for our residents?
You would be a great fit if you…
Are a natural culture-builder who leads with consistency, accountability, and care for your team
Enjoy coaching, developing, and holding nurses and med aides accountable in a way that builds trust rather than fear
Are inquisitive and love to learn; you know healthcare processes and you want your team on the forefront of that progress
Are comfortable navigating complex, whole-person healthcare issues that go beyond the scope of a single hospital unit or clinic
Are skilled at working across multi-disciplinary teams and understand that everyone brings a valuable perspective to a resident's recovery
Vaccination Requirements: Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.
On-site (in-person), 6404 N 70th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68104
Full time, generally Monday through Friday, with availability outside of business hours as needed, including on-call rotation, given the leadership nature of this role.
