About:

Christ Community Health Services Augusta (CCH) is a rapidly growing, primary care health clinic and a community and faith-based 501 (c) (3) organization serving families in a ten-county region between Georgia and South Carolina. As our patient population continues to grow throughout the greater Augusta area, we are always searching for caring and competent team members to join our team!

Our four clinics (five, including dental) are strategically located in urban Augusta neighborhoods, providing local access to affordable care for patients who face medical, economic and transportation hardships. As a federally qualified health center and certified patient-centered medical home, we accept patients with no insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide the full scope of integrated primary care services, which fall under his/her field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to patients.
• Work closely with Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs), and other care team members to provide holistic (medical, behavioral & spiritual) integrated care to CCH patients;
• Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients' information and histories;
• Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries;
• Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests;
• Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care;
• Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Eager and able to embody the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of CCH;
• Able and willing to demonstrate love, compassion, and genuine care when interacting with others;
• Strong decision-making, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to work well with the variety of ages, cultures, & temperaments represented among CCH staff and patients, treating others with compassion and professionalism;
• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of e-mail systems, electronic medical records, and web-based programs, and point-of-interview technology;
• Knowledge of disease prevention;
• A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

Education and Experience:

• Current active DEA Certificate
• Current active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Georgia Medical Professional License
• Board Certified in his/her respective field

Working Conditions:

The position has normal office working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
