Role Purpose

The critical care nurse practitioner is a healthcare provider who works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families in critical care settings. They possess a high level of clinical expertise in dealing with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered in the critical care setting. The nurse practitioner demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. They work with administration staff, nurses, physicians, med/surg trainees, and other staff to ensure safe, effective, high-quality patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree - Nursing
• Experience: <2 years
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: Licensed APRN in Missouri, National APRN Board Certification

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Doctorate - Nursing
• Experience: 2-5 years
