Position Highlights

• Position: Nurse Practitioner – Emergency Medicine
• Work Type: PRN / Per Diem
• Location: Alamogordo, NM
• Schedule: Per diem, as needed
• Shifts scheduled 2+ months in advance

Facility Overview

• 20 ED beds
• 10–12 recliners for fast-track and vertical patients
• Patient Population: Full age spectrum
• Acuity typical of a community emergency department

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Provide high-quality, efficient care across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Support CHRISTUS Health’s mission of compassionate, patient-centered care

Experience & Preferred Background

• Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Mexico
