As a Planar Module Engineer within the New Mexico Advanced Packaging Fab 11X, you will play a critical role in supporting and advancing high-volume manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hands-on problem solving, process optimization, and driving manufacturing excellence at the point of activity on the factory floor.

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall performance, health, and continuous improvement of one or more 300mm manufacturing toolsets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning and sustaining assigned toolsets, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to Copy Exactly standards.
• Monitoring process control charts, equipment performance, and production metrics to maintain stable, excursion-free operations.
• Driving Model of Record (MOR) availability and achieving world-class tool matching performance.
• Supporting new technology introductions through equipment installations, conversions, qualifications, and production ramp activities.
• Developing and executing improvement roadmaps focused on equipment health, process stability, yield enhancement, and operational efficiency.
• Leading initiatives to improve tool availability, cycle time, defectivity performance, and overall factory output.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to enable successful technology transfers and high-volume manufacturing goals.

Because Fab 11X operates in a high-volume manufacturing environment, this role may also include process development activities at the module level to support factory performance, technology readiness, and production objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience; or
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus 1+ year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing ramps and technology transfer activities within the Planar module.
• Semiconductor fabrication experience, including sustaining and optimizing Planar manufacturing toolsets (3+ years preferred).
• Direct experience managing and supporting semiconductor equipment in a Planar manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of driving improvements in equipment availability, defectivity reduction, yield, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and data analysis skills in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$103,730.00-146,440.00 USD. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
