Narrative Content Coordinator

Job Classification: Non-Exempt, Part-Time Employee (Up to 25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required)

Purpose of Position:

The Narrative Content Coordinator keeps stories moving—from a participant finding their voice to the post, newsletter, or webpage that brings that moment to the community. This role captures and organizes stories with care, then shares them with clarity, respect, and purpose. Working closely with the Chief Storyteller and across programs, philanthropy, and community engagement, the coordinator creates and manages content for social media, email, the website, digital assets, and organizational campaigns. They bring strong knowledge of social platforms, website functions, digital asset management, and communications best practices. This hands-on role is ideal for an organized, creative storyteller who can manage details, collaborate across teams, and keep Girls Inc. of Santa Fe’s public voice consistent, mission-aligned, and moving forward.

Compensation & Position Type:

$25–$27 per hour, depending on experience. This role is designed to grow with Girls Inc. of Santa Fe, offering opportunities for expanded responsibilities as our programs evolve. Professional development opportunities to enhance skills and job performance.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation & Coordination: Manage the day-to-day flow of organizational storytelling through a clear, current content calendar. Draft, schedule, and adapt content for social media, newsletters, the website, print materials, events, and campaigns. Balance creative production with administrative coordination, keeping schedules, approvals, files, and deadlines on track. Ensure all content is timely, accurate, asset-based, and aligned with the voice of Girls Inc. of Santa Fe.
• Digital Engagement & Brand: Monitor comments, messages, and tags while engaging thoughtfully with community partners online. Maintain visual consistency and coordinate campaign timelines and asset delivery.
• Website & Email: Update the website and format newsletters, family communications, donor updates, and community emails. Monitor digital content for accuracy, accessibility, broken links, and needed updates.
• Story Collection & Asset Organization: Gather participant and program stories, quotes, photos, and videos in collaboration with staff and community partners. Organize and tag assets in Canto, track permissions, and uphold consent, privacy, and dignity.
• Design & Production: Create and adapt basic graphics, flyers, social media assets, event slides, and other digital or print materials. Coordinate with creative contractors when projects require advanced design, photography, video, or production.
• Analytics & Cross-Department Collaboration: Track performance across social media, email, and the website, then share practical insights. Collaborate with program, development, and community engagement staff to gather content and keep communications moving.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating or coordinating content for social media, newsletters, websites, or community communications.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Mailchimp or similar email platforms, Hootsuite, Google Workspace, and digital asset systems.
• Ability to write in a clear, warm, accurate, and mission-aligned voice.
• Comfort working with photos, captions, file organization, and basic design layouts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Respect for youth voice, family privacy, consent, and ethical storytelling practices.
• Commitment to asset-based, inclusive, and gender-expansive language.
• Experience in nonprofit, youth development, education, community organizing, or mission-driven communications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills strongly preferred.
