NJ Teacher of Music Certification or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)

Teach general music classes and instrumental music to elementary and middle school students.

Experience in Elementary General Music instruction and pedagogy

Ability to organize and direct an elementary level chorus

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills

Effective classroom management skills

Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and parents

Proficient vocal and piano/instrumental skills preferred

Previous experience working with primary grade students preferred

Willingness to work collaboratively with district colleagues regarding music instruction preferred

Ability to plan a yearly concert and music for other school events/assemblies throughout the year preferred

Willingness to support building/department/district initiatives that encourage student participation in music preferred
