Medical Lab Technician – Clinical Laboratory Science

Schedule: Variable Shift

Assignment Details: Holiday coverage is not required.

Requirements

• BLS certification is required.
• BS in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science (copy of academic degree or transcript required upon hire).
• Less than 1 year of experience is necessary.
• Working knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and hospital information systems (HIS) is preferred.
• Familiarity with specialized automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform various laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Ensure quality control and assurance in laboratory operations.
• Document test results and contribute to lab reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
