Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time, long-term Medical Assistant to join our clinic in Eagle Mountain. This role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and Saturdays. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions, both in person and through communication channels. Strong multitasking abilities are essential, along with a commitment to fostering positive relationships with patients and staff. Delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a supportive clinical environment are key expectations of this position.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide courteous, friendly service to all patients and co-workers, contributing to a positive and professional work environment
• Collaborate with providers to assist in patient care and accurately document patient encounters
• Ensure all pertinent patient information is available to the provider, including medication lists, lab results, allergies, imaging reports, and medical history
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations
• Retrieve and organize prior records, including x-rays, office notes, and test results
• Review messages and paperwork with providers and respond promptly and professionally as directed
• Assist with examinations, invasive procedures, and minor surgical procedures performed by providers
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
• Clean and sterilize rooms, equipment, and instruments before clinic hours and between patient visits
• Document orders, referrals, and laboratory tests accurately
• Track and document follow-up activities related to health maintenance and quality care measures
• Manage patient messages and tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Administer medications as ordered by the provider
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must have medical office experience
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Must have a high school transcript or GED to work in our CLIA waived lab.

Hours:

Urgent Care Mon-Saturday 7:45 am - 8:00 pm, scheduled days and hours can vary. These are the clinic hours; you may be here until a later time to finish up on MA duties Family Medicine Mon-Friday 8 am – 5 pm
