Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies candidate for the position of Material Management Compliance and Training. The Space and Mission Systems (SMS), Supply Chain Material Management position supports the SMS Supply Chain Material Management organization and monitors supply chain operations to ensure compliance to supply chain policies and procedures, FAR/DFARS/AMS government regulations, and requirements of industry standards to support efficient and compliant operations across the Material Management and Supply Chain operations. This position will also be responsible for updating and presenting Material Management Training and working Special Projects. This full-time position reports to Supply Chain Material Management leadership. Position may require travel of up to 25% to other L3Harris sites.

Essential Functions:

• Working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS/AMS government regulations for Material Management Compliance.
• Lead and participate in Material Management projects and initiatives to drive efficiencies and reduce organizational risks.
• Support MMAS business system internal reviews as needed in support of retaining a MMAS business system approval.
• Follow up on internal reviews to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.
• Offer guidance in development, implementation and management of Material Management procedures that support the L3Harris SMS CAS 410 Segment, FAR/DFARS/AMS government regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support Material Management audits for all internal/external (DCMA/DCAA) audit activities.
• Monitor and ensure all records and documents are maintained according to Material Management best practices, government regulations, and relevant policies and procedures.
• Seek optimal solutions and approaches within the supply chain organization, identify gaps in practices and processes, pursue training, and process improvement opportunities.
• Provide training to the Material Management function to cover processes, policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Remain informed of government regulations and policies of L3Harris such as FAR, DFARS, and AMS requirements.

Qualifications:

Education / experience (Material Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Marketing, Operations Management or Business Management)

Master’s Degree and 7+ years Material Management/relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years Material Management/relevant experience, in lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Total relevant professional experience to be minimum 8 years in Material Management, and a combination of one or more of the following directly related to Supply Chain, Material Management, Material Planning, MRP/MPS, Production Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, coursework, or practical experience that demonstrates analytical ability, strategy development and execution.

7 years of experience using MRP systems software.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Ability to prioritize competing work assignments and initiative to complete tasks.
• Experience in Cincom Control and external applications (CIDM, MTS, RIDs, Cognos, etc.)
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, and AMS government regulations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare concise oral and written reports.
• Experience with material management and supply chain best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
